There have been a few changes since I logged into the COTE page. The wildlife refuge has had many changes. Some good some bad. We have done a lot of good, but the outside world has continued to slow down charity donations across the board, which has hurt all charities. Additionally there isless money at schools to hire the refuge for a show. On the good side, We have been given the go ahead to have an engineer look at the land in Apex for a raptor center. We have had a good number of releases this year. We had 3 of our permanent birds fly across the rainbow bridge. Buckshot the great horned owl, Houdini the red tail hawk, and Enigma the red shoulder hawk are now flying the skies of the summerlands. Anitra has been busy tatting up a storm. her tatted jewelry has been a hit at the last fair, and she has special orders that she is working one every day. I am looking forward to running the Yule Gathering next week. I have not seen COTE assembled in far too long.
